Excellent location for heavy applications for your desktop without raising the monitor/laptop too but leaving room for things like ropes usb ports HDMI switches switches etc.. by Radley

These stand monitor grande to add space working .... easily slip a keyboard and mouse under it to save space on the desktop. Its about 2 "high so don't raise the monitor too. by Michael
